  • March 11, 2023

Cooperation is essential for revitalizing naturism. This applies at all levels: naturist organizations, naturist clubs and resorts, and individual naturists. Participants at each level should support the priorities of others in addition to their own. Sailing the Gulf | The Free Range Naturist

  • March 11, 2023

2022-09-20 We’re on our way west, out of Baton Rouge, this morning. We’re going sailing! Realizing that a drive across Texas is halfway across the continental USA, we decide to take a break at the tourist info center after crossing the border. We put on clothing in the parking lot and walk around the back to the gateway and into chilling air-conditioning. The big room is loaded with tall rows of brochures and maps. We’ll have a long drive and we’re looking for fun stops along the way....

It’s been hard. – Aching for Eden

  • March 10, 2023

It’s been a rough week. I was thinking about writing a post about seasonal affective disorder. Recent events prove the timeliness of this post. I wanted to research it and learn more about it. I’m no doctor. I honestly don’t know much about it. I know it affects a lot of people to varying degrees. Naturists will often speak of it in the winter as opportunities for being nude out in nature diminish greatly. What is a natural and healthy stress reliever and an activity that brings great...

Newsworthy Nudity, 2021-5 – Naturistplace Blog

  • March 10, 2023

In most of the northern hemisphere the naturist outdoor season begins in May and June. So there are some good reports suggesting clothing-optional beaches. And others dealing with general naturist activities. The UK’s best nudist beaches revealed: Why more Brits will be in the buff this summer (6/11/21) Public nudity in the UK is actually not illegal as long as it’s not intended to be offensive or alarming. And the country has plenty of coastline (11,000 miles of it by one estimate), with many sandy beaches. Of course,...

A Morning  Stealth Walk | The Free Range Naturist

  • March 10, 2023

2022-09-22 To Georgia and Back Series: Part 11 This is the continuation of our visit with “Safebare,” in Texas. We have just spent a lovely afternoon sailing. Here is that story: Sailing the Gulf This next day is lazy. We gather ourselves for a visit to Galveston and ice-cream. The staunch old iron and stone architecture is fun. The old tall doors open to let the sea breeze in. We have to beat rush hour through Houston to their northwest side. There is a neighborhood stealth walk and...

The Road Less Traveled – Aching for Eden

  • March 10, 2023

A Case for Social Nudity — By John Figleaf “The Road Less Traveled” has been used as titles for both songs and books. The meaning behind it is rather obvious—going places most people don’t go.   There can be a lot of valid reasons a “road” is less traveled. I believe one of the major reasons is a certain amount of fear. In your mind’s eye think of a road trip across the border into Mexico and driving through areas controlled by the drug cartel while on your way...

Newsworthy Nudity, 2022 -2 – Naturistplace Blog

  • March 10, 2023

The History Of Nudism (1/5/22) Gary Mussel, who’s been an activist for naturism and an official of various naturist organizations, offers a birds-eye view of the history of naturism. Open, unproblematic nudity has occurred frequently in human societies as long as humans have existed, especially in regions with mild climates. Occasional open nudity wasn’t unusual even in various more “modern” urban societies until a couple thousand years ago. Even within the past 100 years or so, bathing naked in rivers, lakes, and the ocean wasn’t unusual (at least...

A Couple of Bumps in the Road

  • March 10, 2023

The Tucson Gem and mineral Show has been in town for the last three weeks, I have had continuous renters staying here and decided to work at the show for extra money to get me further down the road, when the warmer seasons return. I ended this busy time by getting the hernia operation that I have been putting off for the last three years. This week I am doped up to mitigate the pain. I have a story written, but I’m too impaired to proof and process...

Windy Point | The Free Range Naturist

  • March 10, 2023

2022-09-24 Part 14 of the Georgia and Back Series We have found on the internet, a privately owned camp on Lake Travis, one mile from Hippie Hollow. The other public camps are closed. One is in construction, being remodeled.  If off season, there might be a private site on the lake, where we could be nude at least in stealth, but things are as they are. This one will have to do and it is convenient. We make reservations with a friendly female voice on the phone. When...
